#musicmonday – The Hunter by Marnie

Hi all, and welcome to another Music Monday, an idea that originated at The Tattooed Book Geek – ‘just a nobody with a blog’ (wordpress.com).

Ya know Ladytron? Maybe not. Maybe you should. Fairly famous, wonderful slices of introspective electro-pop. The frontwoman, Marnie, has put out a solo album and it features some great songs that remind me very much of Ladytron.

I am very much a fan of anything that combines a fairly ethereal lead with an insistent stuttery rhythm line like we have here. Marnie’s voice is like water; cool, smooth, alluring. It all adds up to, well, a wonderful slice of introspective electropop.
