Hi all, and welcome to another Music Monday, an idea that originated at The Tattooed Book Geek – ‘just a nobody with a blog’ (wordpress.com).
And, since it’s Wyrd & Wonder month, I decided to go full fantasy with this selection, namely a cover of the Game of Thrones theme.
Not just any cover! This one features a bunch of star guitarists and people from the show, all riffing away before getting into the main thing.
To me, watching them fool around and banter is half the fun here. I love watching crowds of talented people do their collective thing, I love seeing people joke around with each other. The song’s pretty cool too. It’s a great bit of songwriting and it really works well as a guitar orchestra.
I’ve got a couple of other fantasy-esque songs lined up for Music Mondays for the rest of May, but if you’ve got any other fantasy songs you really love, let us know in the comments.
